Well, it is crazy hard to believe that our girl turned one on July 2nd. She is such a doll. We cannot believe how much she has changed our lives. We celebrated her birthday poolside with lots of friends and lots of family. It was a great party. Mark says that every summer baby MUST have pool parties...I bet you can guess he's a summer baby himself! She enjoyed the singing, opening gifts, a pinch of icing/cake, and being held by many many people who love her so much.
Here are some of the exciting and cutie things happening with our girl lately...
- walks like a big girl
- smiles every chance she gets
- hugs
- claps
- talks talks and talks some more...you can't make much sense of what she is trying to say, but she just rambles away
- her favorite word is DaDa...still..she is a BIG TIME Daddy's girl
- waves bye bye and hi
- reaches out for familiar people
- pats the dogs very sweetly (usually)
- will pat anything if you say "pat pat pat"
- points at everything
- runs away when we say "I'm gonna get you"
- acts shy with new people
- has become quite the 'paci princess'...who would have thought after all those months of hating it so much
- she has been to 4 of her Daddy's races
- she loves to swim and lick the water
- plays so hard she gets sweaty hair
- only rocks for 10 minutes before naps and bedtime
- sits in a rocking chair and rocks herself back and forth
- has 6 teeth
- eats all kinds of baby food and finger foods...some of her favorites are; avocado, cheese, puffs, bread, scrambled eggs, chicken, and all fruits with the exception of bananas
- weaned at 10 months
- loves her milk
- wears 12 month clothes
- wears a size 3 diaper
- is starting to lose a bit of baby fat with all this walking
- probably weighs 21ish pounds...we go to the pedi on Friday so we will see for sure then
- has a petite little foot
- toots and laughs at herself doing this...her Daddy is so proud
- licks you as a kiss
- talks on her play cell phone...she even puts it up to her ear
- loves to shut doors
- loves to play in the fridge
- hums herself to sleep
- barks like a dog when you say, "What does the doggie say?"
- roars like lion
- raises one arm up high when you say, "How big is Haelyn?"
- loves to put lids on things
- brushes her own hair (anything that has bristles or prongs is a brush)
- loves to chew on toothbrushes
- takes her bows out
- has the biggest blue eyes that will just melt your heart
